Massage therapy is a form of manual manipulation of the soft tissue (muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia). It aims to promote pain-free function of the body by releasing tissue tension and re-orienting holding patterns. Massage primarily works with the nervous system to facilitate the body’s self-healing ability; and because of this it has an immense capacity to support a wide variety of conditions such as anxiety, depression and chronic pain. This modality is also an exceptional rehabilitation tool for healing from surgeries and injuries (including scar tissue).

At Blue Lotus, our focus is to support you on your journey to reaching an optimal state of well-being!

I am a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) practicing out of Nelson, BC. A genuine passion for wanting to help people led me to the health profession. I know first hand the transformative power of manual therapy. Massage therapy is an approach that encompasses so many spectrums in the therapeutic arts, and requires both skill and intuition in its modality. When it comes to pain management of soft tissue dysfunction, having an effective personalized pain care plan is imperative to the healing process. It requires trust and respect, and is the foundation that allows the process of moving toward the desired outcome. I will customize a plan to create long-term benefit and I encourage my clients to feel empowered to participate in their own physical and mental health through personalized education-base home-care for their own particular needs. My hope is to be a part of your journey by offering you the tools that will help promote the wellbeing in a holistic way.

Being a part of someone’s journey is both an inspiration and an honour. Our body is essential to our existence, we must take care of it.

Lynn graduated from the rigorous 3000-hr RMT program at Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences in 2023. She was first introduced to massage when she learned Shiatsu in 2018. Since embarking on the path to become a RMT, her current approach now weaves in a variety of techniques including trigger point therapy, myofascial release, Swedish relaxation techniques, and muscle energy techniques.

Lynn is lead by curiosity and enjoys massaging a variety of body types. Also being an active person who loves to snowboard, climb, dance, hike, bike, and practice yoga, she is backed by a sound body awareness and understanding of recovery.

Above all, Lynn recognizes that each person is unique and that by listening closely to your body’s tissues, she adapts each massage to your needs.
